Through the archway

posted by Kerry-Anne

Here's another view of yesterday's rose garden... this shot reminds me of The Secret Garden, which is one of my favourite books even though it's meant for children! I love the idea that something very special could be waiting around a corner, or on the other side of a gate, or behind a hedge, or in this case, through the archway.

The Secret Garden's a lovely book for anyone at any age...and I agree with you about the archway. I'd love one in my garden.

Love that book too. What a lovely photograph. Cape Town is so well known for its wondrous gardens. I've had several friends who've visiting South Africa just for the gardens. One day..one day...she said with optimism.

The grass looks like a carpet; lovely arch to frame the subject!

An arch is a very good idea to make grow some roses! And to keep secret a part of a garden, of course everyone wants to see overthere! I wish i could have a cup of tea and a piece of cake with you in such a nice place...

Secret garden's are what I like to create in real life. This gate resonates with me...and then there's the emerald green grass! Gorgeous!
