Deur die blare

posted by Kerry-Anne
The title of this post is an Afrikaans expression that roughly means "confused" or "spaced out". If you translate it literally though, it means "through the leaves". See that man's head? No? That's because it's through the leaves. :)

And that's pretty much how I've felt all day today, because the winter sniffles finally got me, giving me a runny nose and a foggy head. I'm very deur die blare.

Hope you are feeling better real soon - best place to be is in bed!!

I have to go back to work today after 4 weeks and 1 day off, and am still not feeling great after my bout with the flu. This post is JUST ME today!!! I will use this phrase all day - but not sure if my pronunciation will be accurate.... but then........who will know??

That is one of the most bizarre feelings. I call them "surreal days" - it is like you are taking in the world at below-eye - level or something!

Get well soon!
