Time passes by

posted by Paul
This sundial in the Company Gardens seemed to hold this man's attention. It was a strange sight - he walked up to the clock, quietly stared at it for about a minute and then left. It didn't appear as though he was trying to work out how the clock worked or tell the time - though perhaps he was.

Click on the picture and view the larger version. What do you imagine he was thinking?

He certainly seems transfixed by it...and I love the selective coloring here!

Another great photo.
Could he be wondering how time has flown for him and maybe how much time he has left? Or is that all too deep - maybe he has a dentist appointment and needs to know what time it is???

Check out my photo on http://planetearthdailyphoto.blogspot.com - Three Women and an Umbrella - I used the same technique.

"Darn. I forgot to buy batteries for that stupid clock again. *sigh* Hmmm....I wonder where I could get one of these to buy for my apartment?"

Maybe he was thinking about making a sundial?

Oh Kerry-Anne and Paul, these last days passed so fast...You've posted so many photos I didn't see! First, let me wish you a belated birthday, Kerry-Anne, Limnos'site leans everyone to make a big sin of greediness! Then, I wish I could have a cup of tea or coffee with you in this lovely Avocado Restaurant. And to finish for today, your two last photos, Paul, are really...good. AmitiƩs depuis la France.

Thanks for the birthday wish, Alice! One day (hopefully not too far in the future) we will most certainly have a cup of tea or coffee with you - either here in Cape Town or in your lovely Arradon. Either way, it will be fun! :)
