Just a mussel shell

posted by Kerry-Anne

Today, a simple picture - a mussel shell lying on Blouberg beach. It reminds me of the scrumptious moules and frites I had last October in Cancale, France; and so it makes me think of my friends living in Bretagne. In fact, this shell brings back a host of memories from that holiday, and makes me wish I could be in France on holiday again. :) What does this simple image make you think of?

that makes me think of my university times... LOL
But I have a reason for that,
In zoology I had to make a mussel dissection... and was so strange to study in deep its complex but simply (!!!) anatomy... ;)

Nice work Kerry-Anne. When do you find the time to take these photos?

Next time you come in France, don't forget to visit me! We will go to eat some moules-frites!

>dsole, you're braver than me - I don't think I could ever dissect anything. Eeeuuw. Although having said that, I did once eat a live mussel straight off a rock, after Paul dared me to. :) They taste better cooked.
>delon, thanks, but Paul took this one. He's the one with the nice SLR camera, I just have a little point-and-shoot. :) We've been making a lot more time to go out and do things since we started this blog, I must say.
>alice, we will take you up on your offer for sure! And then you can help us along with our French too...
