Another sad exit

posted by Kerry-Anne
After tonight's big cricketing defeat, I feel a little like this stadium - empty...

For those of you that don't follow cricket, South Africa is out of the World Cup, after being beaten in tonight's semi-final in resounding fashion by our arch-rivals, Australia. You can get the dismal details of our innings here.

Fortunately we spent the evening watching the game on a big-screen at Newlands Cricket Club (pictured here), courtesy of one of my clients; the food was awesome and the company entertaining, so it wasn't all bad.

Better luck next time, boys.

Sorry for the loss. As I am often reminded, there is always next time. And as a Kansas City Royals fan I have had to say that for many years!

Thanks for stopping by the blog. I appreciate your comments.

No, I don't follow cricket. But after seeing this beautiful field and stadium, I'd love to see a game or two. That's what I love about daily photo blogs; they start something.

Kerry-Anne,

Sorry about the game result for you. Was hoping for a closer match.

Very appropriate photo though.

Your blog is wonderful Kerry-Anne! We do live in a beautiful country, don't we. As for those Aussies - well - actually they deserve to win! They are just brilliant!

Oh dear - and I think the Brits are out too, aren't they? If not, it's a miracle! Sympathies all round.

I blame the Aussies!

Lovely photo - there's always next time.

Oh I am sorry to learn of your defeat. THe photo is still nice and says it all, I suppose. Is there any runner-up awards?

It poured rain yesterday and I took some photos through the windshield experimenting.

Rivalries run deep whether its on land or water I guess! Do you know why that is? I sense they have a strong passion to beat the other.
