For the last two days we've had glorious weather; none of that anticipated rain has arrived yet - it's now being forecast for Monday instead.

The building in the picture is Kelvin Grove Club - I was fortunate enough to have breakfast there yesterday, whilst listening to a world-renowned best-selling author speaking on financial freedom. Unfortunately I'm not a member of the club, so I can't invite any of you to join me there for a drink or a game of croquet. :)

Thanks, Kerry-Anne, but I bet I could sneak in there--learned the skill as a kid, sneaking into movie theatres. It looks like a great place to eat. Who was the author?

Croquet? That used to be a very popular game here in the states but it is seldom seen. We had a set to play at home when the children were all small but I don't even know where that is. Probably sold at a garage sale.

I like your photo and the scene it sets. I found the narrative interesting too.

I have celebrated this day, Mother's Day in my country, with a magazine cover for my wife. I hope you can see it.

>Kate, and here I thought you were a good girl... ;)

>Kate and Kala, the author was Robert Kiyosaki. Kala, I know the kind of meetings you mean - I avoid them like mad.

My parents were both members - I had my 21st in the ballroom. It has quite a chequered past though. As a monument to all that is WASP it has only allowed Jewish and non-white membership fairly late.

It is beautiful though (with a great perk being the parking when the cricket's on) but I still think of the place as a bit of a museum - it is full of relics! Fortunately they now come in all colours, shapes and sizes!
