Winter brings the sniffles
posted by PaulFortunately so far she seems to have been able to get the better of her sore throat and sneezy nose through liberal doses of vitamins - I haven't been quite so lucky, and it's off to bed with a hot-water bottle for me.
We got some of that rain today, by the way. At last it really feels like winter.

Achooooo!!! Bless you!!!!
Not much you can do
but just see it through.
Although I do have a helpful hint for a sore throat - my daughter has just recovered from a severe case of tonsillitis and survived by gargling soluble disprin dissolved in water.
Seems strange, someone from a hot country getting a cold. Thought that was just the privilege of living in the UK!
I hope you'll get better soon.
Ohh i'm sorry to hear you're unwell. Hot milk, bit of scotch and a teaspoon of honey. There you go x
Hi there, hope you manage to survive all that stuff...
Thanks for all the wishes and helpful suggestions, I think that the hot milk, scotch, scotch and honey may win ;)
Well, your sniffles and sore throat sound more like allergies than a common cold. If there is sneezing with it then I am suggesting seasonal allergies. When you say, "Winter," I get a chill running down my spine. It is just getting warm like summer here in Ohio where I live.
In your batch of treat-the-symptons medicine, I see "Halls" and can say we have them here too. I didn't really look that hard at the rest but I might see something else there too.
Have a nice day and stay warm in your winter weather.
Have your ever seen two Hondas from the top?
I hope you get better soon! :)
Oh dear Paul. That's quite a stash Kerry-Anne brought home. Hope it's getting better. :)
Thanks, everyone, for the kind wishes - we're both feeling a fair bit better this evening, although I have this niggling feeling that I'm just delaying the inevitable... Oh well, let's see how strong these vitamins really are. :) I tend to agree with Paul about the scotch recipe winning out - can I skip the hot milk and honey though?
jeez - thats enough meds to sink a battleship! GWS!
Well, fortunately we haven't needed to use most of that stuff yet, but at least we're all stocked up for the rest of winter!
