These guys have been playing music at the V&A Waterfront for years. While wandering around between shops I spotted them having a smoke break. I've never been able to understand the phenomenon of a smoke break. Colleagues at work always seem excited to share their smoke breaks... it seems to be a really social event.To get back to the musicians - in and out of their smoke breaks they add a lot of atmosphere to the Waterfront. Their music has a very holiday-like feel to it and I doubt the walkways would feel quite as festive without them.

I agree with your wondering about the smoke break. I had an employee once who smoked, and she could not go a full 20 minutes without smoking. It definitely is an addiction, isn't it?
chris > some say that smokers make better employees since regular breaks are good for the mind. I reckon a smoke every 20 minutes is a bit on the rough side though :). Here in South Africa it's forbidden to smoke in most indoor areas, especially at your place of work. My colleagues have to step out onto the balcony for their smoke breaks.
Ha! Smokers & smoke-breaks - gotta love them for that qurky habit.
