Let's play!

Having grown up in the suburbs, a child of the technological age, I'm not too well-versed in old-school farm equipment. So I have absolutely no idea what this is. It looks interesting though, and I'd like your creative suggestions as to what it could be used for (kind of like a game of "Props" on "Whose line is it anyway?").So, if you had one of these just standing in your garage, how would you put it to use? Personally, I think it would make a fantastic mobile jewellery rack - all those hooky bits are just crying out to have bracelets hung on them, and the big round wheely part would look oh-so-pretty adorned with an array of necklaces.
A postcard for the best suggestion...

Oh my. I wish I could see more of a side view. It could be an engine and simply one-stroke engine. That big wheel is a flywheel which means it had to be some kind of engine but I don't see a fuel tank. The big flywheel was often pushed around by hand too so it could be something else and not an engine at all. Still, a side view might help.
Mikhailo (http://www.foodresearch.net) is an inventor by trade, and pretty good at figuring out what mechanical devices do. (Plus, he grew up on a farm.) Show him the picture at the next 27 Dinner, and he'd probably be able to tell you.
