November Theme Day: The Colour Blue

posted by Kerry-Anne
We found this blue building in Long Street while waiting for the Springboks to make their victory tour through Cape Town. We haven't been inside, but from the sign on the front says "Blue Mountain Backpackers".

Today, the first of the month, is Theme Day and there are currently 121 blogs participating. Please take a quick tour of the world by clicking on some of the links below.

Nice blue photo. The building looks like something out of Disney Land!

Very nice. The building reminds me of buildings in New Orleans. I have been twice to South Africa but never in Capetown. I'd love to visit your city. Maybe some day......

Reminiscent of New Orleans, indeed, only so much lively in terms of color. Yellow and that particular shade of blue look so good together. Very pretty.

Lovely scene. :)

The blue is very bright and the building is what we call "gingerbread"--I wouldn't expect that kind of architecture in Cape Town for some reason. Good choice for the theme.

The yellow accents bring out the blue so nicely! What a cool building. Do you know much about it?
Happy Theme Day in CapeTown!

I took a picture of that building too, it's just lovely and reminds me of Sweden since our flag is blue and yellow:)

This makes me smile: I would title it Mikey Mouse in New Orleans. The colors are so vivid. It's a happy post. Nicely done.

It's very colourful. I guess the backpackers choose those bright colours in most of country.
