The sound of feet on the roof
posted by Kerry-Anne
I heard Father Christmas on the roof last night, and dashed outside (that's a little reindeer pun) to see if I could catch sight of him. I was a little surprised to see Paul already up on the roof, camera in hand. Excitedly I asked, "Did you get a picture of him?" He looked at me with a quizzical expression, and gestured vaguely toward the sky. That was when I realised, with a touch of disappointment, that the sound of big feet I'd heard on the roof had in fact been Paul rushing up there to get a shot of this cloud formation before it disappeared with the setting sun. It's pretty, I guess. But Father Christmas would have been so much more exciting. ;-)

That must have been on Saturday evening since it looks almost like mine -- see http://www.henriska.com/blog
Marius>> Yip, indeed it is the same sunset that you captured on your blog. As we were driving home that afternoon I looked over towards Table Mountain's side and said to Kerry-Anne that I think it's going to be a pretty awesome sunset. I wish I'd acted on that and taken a drive to Big Bay. It must have been spectacular.
Father Christmas on the roof? Would you have been just as pleased if it had been our Santa Claus stepping in while Father Christmas took a break?
As it was it was Paul doing his thing and the results are fantastic. One of the nicer photos I have seen today.
