Where am I?

posted by Paul
Where am I?There aren't many places in Cape Town that have this type of architecture. There are certainly not many prominent land marks that are quite as well lit and that look quite like this building does. Where do you think I am?

It looks like the top of may Capitol buildings I have seen....but I don't think that is what this is....maybe a restaurant? It certainly is unique!

Ah was about to say it's Canal Walk. Paul when are we meeting up there? Golf Lounge makes some excellent Mojito's now after I nagged them to add it to the menu! T

Hooray - I got it right! :-) The architecture at Canal Walk is truly mid-boggling (not always in a good way)... have you noticed how the handrails are held in place by bronze elephant fixtures, complete with trunks wrapped around the rails? Only in Africa...

Uh, that should read 'mind-boggling', not 'mid'. Nothing at CW is 'mid', its all pretty OTT!

tony seifart > I popped in at the golf lounge the other day. It was a strange experience. There were people throwing buckets of water at each other and skating across the then slippery wet floors. Odd to say the least. But they appeared to be having a load of fun.
