Chocolate cake!

It's winter here in Cape Town and this is arguably one of the best snacks for a cold winter's afternoon - or so Kerry-Anne has led me to believe. This slice of cake would normally cost between 16 ZAR and 20 ZAR, depending on where you chose to eat it.I'd love to take a poll to find out how much you would expect to pay for this piece of cake in your country. So, please do leave a comment and let's find out where we're able to get the best deal on chocolate cake.

Well for sure the best deal won't be here in the UK.
I would expect to pay in an ordinary cafe in the region of R35-R40's for a slice... and in London it could well be double that.
Yes we know the UK has now become one the the most expensive places to live!!....hence the reason why so many of us are leaving, sad isn't it!
come to Poland - such cake you can buy 1-2 eur ;)
*Why do I feel the urge to answer a question concerning chocolate cake...?*
Admittedly I had quite a few extraordinary lovely cake moments when in SA, that's always a good sign in my book:)
This type of cake/slice would probably cost a whopping - but we're used to it... - 40-130R, depending on the place if in Sweden.
it is usually between SGD3-8 dollars for that piece of cake, depending on where you eat it.
btw, that cake looks delicious!!!
Thanks for all the comments - looks like we'll be heading to Poland for cake then. :)
Keropok Man, your comment reminded me of the durian cake we had at Pickles in Singapore - I loved it, and still think of it with great fondness every once in a while. :D Paul wasn't quite as keen...
Just minute (or more appropraitely plane ride). Definetely the best chocolate cake I've had is in Kenya @ maybe R30 (Kshs 250). death by chocolate it is, but yours looks better hands down.
In the azores, Pico Island we would probably pay between 1 euro to 1,50 euro. It seems we are the cheapest spot.
USD 5 to 8 in most of the country. Jack
