Whimsy

posted by Kerry-Anne
This is the last shot we'll be posting of the kite festival, and also the one I love the most. It makes me think of the poetry of e.e. cummings, particularly "in Just-spring", which has always been one of my favourite poems.

What do you think of when you look at this picture?

Thanks for the comments, Obnoxio and Beverley. I can't take credit for this photo, because it's Paul's; but I think it has a lot to do with changing the way you look at things. We're always trying to look at ordinary scenes and objects from a slightly different angle, and I think this leads to some interesting shots.

Since we started this blog, we've certainly learnt to appreciate the angles, lines, colours and tiny details of ordinary things a whole lot more.

It's amazing how it has captured the movement of the kite. Unbelievable.
