The suburb of Sea Point

posted by Kerry-Anne
If you're not familiar with the area, this photo of a house in Sea Point could fool you into believing that Sea Point is a small, antiquated fishing village. Not so, of course. Sea Point is actually a sprawling coastal suburb filled with tall blocks of flats, a number of hotels and guesthouses, and plenty of busy restaurants.

In fact, Wikipedia indicates that Sea Point is the most densely populated suburb in Cape Town - and I can well believe that.

I can only apologise for cutting and pasting this comment, but there was no way on Earth I would be able to make it around the whole globe to wish everybody a Merry Christmas otherwise. I have only one pair of hands and no team of magical elves to help me.

Anyway, from myself, Henry and Ezra, have a Merry Christmas/Winter Solstice/Hanukkah/Festivus and a happy New Year!

I hope that all of your holiday photos turn out to be triumphs and all your presents are spectacular.

As I can't see the tall blocks of flats and the hotels, guest houses etc I'll enjoy the vision that this photo gives of being taken at a 'small, antiquated fishing village'.

(Just on a point of interest Paul you will remember our exchange of comments on fruit resulting from a photo of yours well, today I bought a lemon marked up as from South Africa and the cost was R4..and a very nice lemon it is!!)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New your to you both..
