Places of worship #2

posted by Paul
While driving in and around Cape Town city you'll find many places of worship. This Mosque is located on the corner of Loop Street and Orphan Street. If you look carefully, you'll see the loudspeaker at the top of the tower. Having being a student at Cape Technikon many years ago, one of the things that stick out most about Friday classes is the sound of the lunchtime call to prayer ringing from the nearby Mosque's loudspeaker.

Hello friend :D

I would love to invite a nice Round Robin: the "OTHER CONTINENT RR" (http://forum.postcrossing.com/viewthread.php?tid=8929)

Everyone in one group of that Round Robin, which can only consist of a maximum of 6 people:
- Europe,
- North America,
- South America,
- Rare Country or Africa
- Australia/New Zealand/Oceania
- Asia

Sends a card to the 5 others in that group and will receive 5 cards from each other groupmember.
This way everyone will receive a card from nearly every continent but their own.

If you want to participate, you can leave a message in the thread.
The leader signs you up in a group (or you can choose a group ).
When the group will be complete, Zasa collects all the addresses and distributes them for the 6 users the swap can start!
Some countries are very looked for, because they are rare, as the countries of Africa, some of Asia or Europe.

If you don't want to participate, no problem!

judamore :D

you do not need to answer me :D

It is interesting that the mosque's architecture fits in so well with Cape Town look.

When I was in Malaysia I found the call to prays really amazing - the sound is very stirring.

This is what call to prayer is in English:

God is Great (four times)
I testify that there is no god but God (twice)
I testify that Muhammad is God's messenger (twice)
Come to prayer (twice),
Come to salvation (twice)
God is Great (twice)
There is no god but God.
