Lief u my babe

posted by Paul
Spray-painted signThe Afrikaans word "lief" means "love" in English. This spray-painted note was left on the road outside our office building more than a year ago.

Taking the glass elevator up to my office each day often gives me a moment to ponder this phrase and wonder what the story behind it was. It's needless to say that the intended recipient of this message never owned up to being such.

I wonder if the note had it's intended effect...

Graffiti of Love... How splendid. I would love that!

You do have to wonder though, if the recipient actually received the message! I hope they did!

Nice photo!

To be honest, I dont think I would own up to being the recepient either! Can you imagine? They'd be mercilessly teased!
Would be sad if the relationship didnt work out and she/he had to see that everyday.

How romantic and I'd like to think that the person this was meant for saw it from maybe the same office elevator as yourself.

And still thinking in the romantic mood I'm sure it's all worked out ok..I really hope so!!
