That was a flippin' short summer

Electricity and cloud
Only a couple of days after we'd started to get used to summer, winter has returned with a vengeance. It's been overcast, raining and extremely windy since yesterday evening. (Have a look at these photos of a truck that was blown over in central Cape Town this morning.)

I'm sure the arrival of cloud and rain has something to do with the arrival of two particular IT consultants from England at the beginning of the week. I complained bitterly this morning as they entered our meeting room. I think it was Simon who apologised profusely for allowing the rain to tag along in his suitcase. He's on a flight back to England as I write. ;)

I can assure you, he didn't bring it from here. It's been bloody miserable all week!

obnoxio - yeah, that's what Simon was saying. Imagine his disappointment when the rain rolled in. :)

beverley - snow, frost, fog, cold... nope, that should be okay. Around January that nasty African sun comes out in full force, enough to ward off any of those. In fact... perhaps you could pack in a couple of buckets of rain just to cool us off a little?

I just assumed Africa was hot when we are cold and cold when we are hot. We were hot and dry and are fast approaching cold and wet and I assumed you guys are just the opposite. Nice and warm days, cool nights, gently breezes and lots of pleasant sunshine about now.
