The Wheel

The Wheel
The V&A Waterfront's pretty at night - and in some way I'm surprised that it's not more vibrant. I wonder if adding one (or probably rather two) dance clubs to the mix wouldn't spice things up a bit.

All the restaurants close by about 11pm (and the shops earlier, if I recall correctly) so it doesn’t really lend itself to that staying out late atmosphere.

You would, of course, be safe as houses Ali. For (us of paler complexion) it’s okay as long as we wear really dark clothes and spend *a lot* of time in the sun – which is tricky in winter.

I jest of course – this is CAPE TOWN Ali! :)

It feels like such a waste MJW. I wonder if it’s not intentional though – I imagine that all kinds of bad things could happen if they kept it going late into the night. I suppose they wouldn’t want to risk marring the impression that the V&A area is a relatively safe place to be touristing about.
