A family Bible
It may be of interest to you to know that it’s an illustrated Bible and dictionary, that appears to have been printed in the USA in the late 1800s. Besides containing a family tree that documents a few generation’s of our family’s births and deaths the book also illustrates many of the Bible stories in full colour – you know, with those typical Biblical drawings (source).
It’s quite the family heirloom, don’t you think? Fortunately, unlike Cain and Abel, my older brother and I won’t be fighting over this one. 
My word that really is a special Bible and one to treasure – I like where you placed it to take the photo!!
It sure is Bev… we try not to open it too often – while still in tact, the bindings are old and delicate, and of the pages brittle.

I’ve just bought a little Bible for my little home… but it’s not so beautifull.
i have inhereted one just like the one illustrated… it is beautifull… an everytime i look through it i find something else that has bn placed through the delicate pages… from a hundred yrs plus bk…. it is wrote also in 17 different languages ive bn told… it is amazingly big… im very proud of it…
