An empty milkshake glass

An empty milkshake glass

I stopped off at Fego Café at the V&A Waterfront for breakfast a few days ago. The restaurant/bookshop is fairly well tucked away from the general hustle and bustle of the other Waterfront restaurants, which makes it perfect for just sitting back and relaxing.

Alas, this empty milkshake glass wasn't mine, so I presume that the other patrons cast their querying eyes in my direction as I jumped up to capture this photo before the waitress took the glass away. :)

I'd have to go with chocolate, but what is your favourite milkshake flavour?

Back in the 70s and early 80s there was a place in the Carlton Centre in Jo’burg called The Ice Cream Bowl that made something like 40 different flavours. Peppermint was my favourite, but Cream Soda was good too. With the limited flavours available at most places, it will always be chocolate.

John, Peanut Butter and Honey is pretty good, as is an Orio Milkshake. I think I had Peanut Butter and Honey at Starlight Diner.

Steve, it sounds like you’re quire the connoisseur. Yeah, I normally default to chocolate when I’m unsure of how good the non-chocolate one’s are. It’s difficult to screw up chocolate. :)

I don’t do milkshakes Paul but you know the idea of sitting peacefully early morning at a table with a view like this and the sun shinning I think I could take up liking milkshakes and maybe go for a strong fruit flavour to take the milk taste away :)
