The farm dates back to 1682, a mere 30 years after Jan van Riebeeck of the Dutch East India Company landed to establish the first European settlement in the Cape [1], making it one of the oldest farms in South Africa.

    Fascinating story and beautiful pics, I visit your site daily to get a glimpse of our Fairest Cape. You post such interesting photos that fill me with nostalgia for home. It is such a rich and wondrous place more so when you live far away from it.
